Check out the Invite Tracker on PokerChipForum.com.  https://www.pokerchipforum.com/resources/invitetracker.98/ I am not running tournaments or poker nights currently so I haven't used it.  But it sounds like it does a lot of the things that you are looking for.

Help Me / Re: Import Prizes
« on: April 02, 2022, 02:39:10 AM »
Thanks.  So what I have figured out to do, I will use the automatic prizes until all are bought in.  then I will convert them to fixed prize amounts and then use the 'Adjust by' feature to adjust the prizes by the specified amount.  Unless there is a better way to do it.

So, as a follow-up, is there anyway to add a specific amount to each prize, based on rebuys?  The guy that developed the payout table doesn't put the rebuy money in and use the same percentages.  He adds a specific amount to the existing prizes.  His example is below

Suppose 5 payout spots, add the following per payout level.

Rebuys 1          2          3

1 =       $10      $20      $25

2 =       $10      $15      $25

3 =       $10      $15      $25

4 =       $5        $15      $25

5 =       $5        $15      $20

You need to set minPlayers and maxPlayer values for each level to a number (no variables here).  eg, minPlayers="1" and maxPlayers="10" would define a set of prizes to be used when there is at least 1 player but no more than 10 players in the tournament.  For the next level you might use minPlayers="11" and maxPlayers="20" to define the set of prizes to be used when there are between 11 and 20 players in the tournament.

Thanks.  That did it.  I did make a copy before editing and I am using that file for the automatic prizes.

The reason I asked on minPlayers and maxPlayers is because our host pays based on each buy-in.  So my new prizes layout has minPlayers="3" and maxPlayers="3", minPlayers="4" and maxPlayers="4", minPlayers="x" and maxPlayers="x", etc. etc.  I only did up to 18 because that is our normal limit for players.  But it was tediuos...LOL.  Thanks for the help

Ok. got it entered and figured out that the decimals work.  The only question I have now is on the variable for min/maxPlayers

Thanks for the info.  I think I can make that work.  I did notice that this file is not in the normal location for TD files.  It is in the AppData directory.  Will that info be backed up and transferred if I follow the backup process?

I am going to have to convince our host to allow TD to do the prizes.  He has it setup to award a percentage based on each person bought-in, rather than a range.  But I want to try and see if it will work.

I am assuming that I can put decimal percentage values, e.g. 66.6 and 33.3?  Also, should I just set minPlayers="x" and maxPlayers="x" for each level?  Or is there a variable for Number of players that can be used to replace those?

is there a way to import prizes?
Our tournament host has a payout table to that is a bit off from the prizes that are calculated.  He has figured up the prizes for tourneys up to 18 players.  I would rather use the prize tool and generate them, but he wants to try and use the schedule as developed.

Help Me / Layout Issue and Question
« on: January 13, 2022, 09:21:40 PM »
 I am modifying the Abstract Layout (1600X900) built-in layout, and I am having some issues

I have modified the row at the bottom of the screen to have 3 columns in it, 1 for Entries, 1 for Chips in Play, and 1 for the Current Time.  The individual columns are set to Center orientation, but I cannot figure out how to get the 3 columns to space equally across the bottom of the screen.  They are all shifted to the Left.

Also, what is the 'blanker' cell?  I can't quite figure out what it is doing and if it is needed

Also, is there anyway to make the background on the layout screen a color.  I cannot see my cells because the text is white.

Help Me / Re: Adding chips when the Final Table begins
« on: January 11, 2022, 05:07:52 PM »
Thanks,  that should do it.  Our host is trying to decide if he wants to use TD instead of his tried and true paper system.  So I want to track as much of the tournament as possible to mirror what he normally tracks

Help Me / Adding chips when the Final Table begins
« on: January 10, 2022, 05:42:08 PM »
Our home game does a memorial tournament each year and to honor the player that passed we divide his chips among the players that make the final table.  What would the best way to add these into the chip count be?  There is not an additional buy-in, so the pot amount is not increased.  But the equivalent chips are added.

Help Me / Seating Dealers and Other Players
« on: January 10, 2022, 02:24:48 PM »
For our home game we have 2 dedicated dealers for each table.  The dealers are assigned to 2 seats in the middle of each table.  Is there a way to indicate which seats are dedicated to dealers and which players are dealers, and randomly seat them in one of the 4 dealer seats.  And then randomly seat the other players at the 2 tables?

Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated.

Suggestions / Re: Card/Chip Use Tracking
« on: August 03, 2021, 11:12:09 AM »
thanks Corey.  I didn't think there would be anything that tracked all of that.  he tracks it for his monthly home tournament so that decks only get a certain amount of use before being retired, and he tracks chips for other things.

Suggestions / Card/Chip Use Tracking
« on: July 22, 2021, 05:22:56 PM »
I have been playing in a monthly tournament and the host wants to take a look at using TD.  One interesting thing he currently does is track the number of hands/rounds/tounaments that a deck of cards, or set of chips is used in, and he tracks the number of chips and big blinds that are in use when the tournament ends.

I was wondering, is there any way to track any of that in TD?  How hard would it be to add something like that?

Thanks
